☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something.

It looks like that seagull is about to dive for something. Themselves or the food. Whichever it is, Sayo watches it carefully with a rock in his hand. And then he quickly throws it.

And it... hits?!

There's a pained cry from that seagull, which sounds almost sweet to the small tantou's ears. The birds have more than earned their spot on his list of revenge.]

[Sayo doesn't want to stay cooped up inside for the entire trip. He's been indoors for more than long enough before his manifestation.]

And I don't trust them to leave.

But Kashuu has brought a ridiculous amount even for a high-maintenance sword... This is his fate, being overly prepared in stupid situations.]

Hm? [Glancing toward his beach bag! Because clearly that's what Urashima is talking about, and not the cooler and extra bags he's dragging along in the opposite hand.] Just some sunscreen and sunglasses and stuff. Oh, and magazines, in case it gets boring out here.

[And a small makeup kit for emergency touch-ups, and some plastic baggies with snacks that he didn't want anyone else stealing, and some regular lotion, some aloe gel for preemptive burn treatment, a few extra pieces of jewelry in case he wanted to change outfits midway through the day, an extra shirt if his gets wet (who has the patience to wait for it to dry??), a disposable camera that he doesn't know how to use...]

Thank you. I will make sure to thank Nakigitsune's fox when we get back home. [ Best model fox will get a nice piece of tofu or something later... wonder if it'd like a shell. Either way, he'll hold the bucket back out to Yamanbagiri. ]

Will you help me put more "hats" on the foxes I've already made?

[ Gulp. Really? How come he didn't feel it? Oh right, long hair.

Still though, please take care of it quickly. He'll stand still and start noticing the sensation of something tugging on his head very, very gently. Oh dear. ]

Please hurry. [ He fights the temptation of shaking it off, he wouldn't want to subject anyone else to the crab. ]

[ Tachi would definitely be next. Or maybe a few wakazashi... as long as Horikawa wouldn't mind, maybe he'd use him as a future model. Kashuu could be good, if he wanted to try a uchigatana, but he spends a lot of time on his nails and makeup. ]

But for now, Kogitsunemaru will sneak behind the deep-in-thought tachi and take advantage of the situation wrapping his arms around Mikazuki's waist and giving him a tight hug. ]

[ Just apologize to it so it can be happy, why is Kashuu like 5 years old. He does nod to show he DOES know how to take care of it, all it needs is water right? Maybe some food but that's easy to give right? It could be just like a cat that needed to eat something light and no sweets so it doesn't get sick. ]

Shells don't move, come on, even I know that? Are you worried you won't know how to take care of it, I'm sure it's simple?

[ It would die.. just like how Yamato is poking the poor fish over and over. When will it move? Will it die if it stays out of water too long? The sun is beaming. Where is Saniwa to take it now and save this poor jellyfish from impending doom. ]

[ Putting the jelly in the other's arms, he gives him a look that says a lot. Don't throw it or someone's arm is getting broken. ]

[ Only you remember because Yamato isn't having this.. He knows not to be anywhere when Jiji and the Saniwa are not or in the same place. He knows better. He's a good egg (sword). ]

A tree... and do you think more secrets are written on it when we find it?

[ If they're getting ready like this, Yamato wouldn't see why they wouldn't go to a stable and get horses. They need to be faster on their toes anyway, uchigatanas may be all rounders but wakizashis are the speed within their set of swords and since they are neither..

Holding the torches close to him so that he can follow the other when he does move, Yamato gives a nod because he's happy that the note will be used. It would worry their group if they just up and disappeared without a trace nor a note to say where they went and knowing everyone, they are all trouble even if someone is gone for such a long period of time. ]

What if everyone gets worried? But then again, what if this is a ploy to raft them off to sea? Will they be OK? ]

[ That isn't rude to say is it? He hopes not, it's just that he knows there are better things in the world for people to do. Besides, Yamato's happiness and he memories aren't what's important at all. It's that the people or comrades that he speaks to and hearing what they enjoy seems to be. He is a caretaker in a way and it would be unforgivable to have this focus on him as well.

Perhaps the other didn't hear him from how he sets the shell against his hear to listen, possibly looking for whatever sounds could be heard. Is it the right kind? Can he hear something? The uchigatana stares just a bit as if he's searching for something but seeing that the wakizashi is trying, he searches on the ground for another one of the same kind the other has.

It doesn't take long to fine it, placing it next to his ear in order to find something he can hear. The waves that crash back and forth nearby is giving Yamato a hard time so with a tilt of his head, he hums softly to himself as he sits down on the sand. ]

You must be luckier than me to hear it.. I'm glad one of us can hear the ocean locked away in such a small item.

[Like... water, presumably?! Something that soft and gushy surely can't survive on the hot and dry land for long... And what do jellyfish even eat? No one here knows! This is a disaster in the making.

...No, this is an actual disaster. Kashuu freezes up as soon as the jellyfish is touching him again because it's still gross. He's getting goosebumps, okay, this is nasty!! But... but. Yamato has just relinquished his hold on the jellyfish. It takes all of 2 seconds for him to decide what to do.

He books it like a rocket in the direction of the ocean.]

[ kashuu will be lucky if he is to avoid the Wrath of Mom, which everyone (INCLUDING SWORDS) knows can be dangerous and spiteful. fortunate for him, even if he doesn't notice how meticulous Horikawa is being with his Necessary™ things, he'll surely note that kashuu needs some Necessary Thinging 101 lessons later. ]

I wouldn't know. This is my first time to the beach. [ INTERROGATION MODE: ENGAGED. ] And, Kashuu... if you did know it'd hurt your hair [ it looks good, by the way ], why'd you go into the water in the first place?

[ okay, he can understand getting cold easily. their true forms are metal, metal is more conducive to temperature, and ok~ay he's slightly convinced. one point. ]

[IT'S ALL GOOD, SHE'S FINE! At least she's light so it's not difficult for her. And her nails are strong and perfect so she's not damaging herself by gripping onto the tree.

And whoop, she helps guide him as he climbs! But now they are trapped here and they look kind of stupid.]

[He looks over at Yamanbagiri when the uchigatana joins him, and while still holding out the board, looks at how ragged the cloak is getting. Well, it was kind of already, but now it really looks like it needs some mending.]

You think maybe some food got on it or something?

[Yes, long hair can be problematic, especially if evil crab bosses hang themselves onto it.

Japan will try to carefully pull the crab off and put it somewhere Kogitsunemaru can't see as she doesn't want him to freak out.]

[So many options... Shishiou might be fun to make as well, with his nue. Or maybe he should try a mini version of Iwatooshi or Tonbokiri and Otegine!]

[Mikazuki looks a bit taken aback at the sudden hug and turns his head to look up at the little fox.]

[IT'S TRUE even Kashuu would head for the hills if he heard the Wrath of Mom voice incoming...

But wow, he's about to lose that one point he just gained. This is dumb and he's dumb, but he looks to the side at the question, making a face and running his fingers through his ponytail somewhat absentmindedly. Why does it look so good??]

I didn't actually go into the water... [That. That's why it looks good.] I mean, I waded around a little, but I didn't wanna get my hair wet!

[SO WHY DID HE BRING THE DRYER. Probably because Yamato is here, honestly, and where there's Yamato there's always trouble and accidents and being pushed into the sea.]

[ He gives himself a once-over. All seems fine, no crabs have taken a ride up the tree with the two of them. And they seem extremely incapable of following, so they'll keep taking turns snapping at the trunk and hope for something to happen (which nothing will, they're just crabs). ]

All good. [ But he'll keep watching them. It's not like Vietnam and he could be in this tree forever... they definitely do look REALLY DUMB in the tree and god when will the crabs just give up. ]

When do you think they'll go away...?

Sorry. You looked like you were about to fall asleep again, so I thought I'd help keep you standing. [ He laughs, keeping his head over Mikazuki's shoulder still. ]

But you should get the water. I think I'll try making Nakigitsune next. It makes sense, given how much practice I've had with foxes, right?

[ Kogitsunemaru will slowly let go. ]

[ He'll stay completely still as Japan deals with the annoying attachment. The crab, of course, doesn't want to be moved but it's surprisingly weaker than it seems. The mystery of crabs. ]

Ah, just be careful... wouldn't want anything to get pulled too hard. [ The perils of long hair, again. ]

[ At the comment about being clean, Yamanbagiri fights the urge to lift up his cloak, which is stained and tattered beyond whatever pure white cloak it once was. He is a sword who isn't worried about keeping his duplicated image clean. (And he doesn't think Kashuu would be the type to touch a dirty stick in the first place.)

But his eyes widen slightly at the idea that the poofy marshmallows can get even poofier and goes to skewer a single marshmallow. He then carefully places it near the bonfire. Once he makes one s'more successfully, he may attempt cooking more than one marshmallow at a time. ]

And then what do I do with it?

[ He has an idea of what comes next, but he wants to make sure since Kashuu is the one teaching him. ]

[ Nakigitsune's fox, huh? Knowing that, he thinks he can see the resemblance in the helper fox. Maybe even a little of Nakigitsune too if he tilts his head in the right way. ]

[ He... didn't exactly count how many foxes there were as he walked past them. He many need to get creative with the "hats" if he has trouble finding enough big shells washed up on the shore. ]
