[ That laugh. It was pure, compassionate, and something Mikazuki's ear had tingled just from the soft vibrations of the bubbling air leaving the fox's lungs. It was enchanting to say the least— a sound the tachi would forever carve into his memory as precious. The sound of someone who had captivated his heart in ways he had never thought to imagine.

Yet not only had his laugh taken the older sword out from under his feet, but his hugs as well. Each and every touch he had received, no matter the size, had sent him weak to his knees. The warmth of his strong arms, the feeling of his chest, and even now... his forehead. He had thanked whatever god was watching over him at that moment that Kogitsunemaru was holding on him, least he would have fallen over at the very moment.

And then another kiss.

Mikazuki had never wished for them to stop. He gladly welcomed the second one, no matter how quick it may have been. Pressing his body fully into the other sword at this point. Giving himself to him, embracing within the layers of fabric and displaced rice.

However, when he was finally released, Mikazuki had little time to react before the hand was cupped lightly at his cheek. As if they could get anymore red by this point, he could feel the sides of his ears warm. But he didn't act surprised. No, instead his eyes held a look resembling the fondest emotion. He feels safe here, tucked within the fox's hands and tracing fingers. Oh, what Mikazuki would have given to remain like this. To staring into the other's eyes and hug and kiss forever and forever, but—

—he moves his hand now. Two delicate and slender fingers reaching up and pressing against the other's lips. Those lips whom he had claimed just moments ago. He wanted to feel them again, to study every centimeter and corner he possibly could. To make them his own. ... But maybe that was for another time.
]

... Perhaps— [ He finally spoke. His voice was raspy and odd. Almost as if he hadn't spoken in ages. The laughing should have helped, he thought, at least to make it seem as though he was composing himself. But who would he possibly hide that from? He felt so exposed, so open into the dark cornered he thought to have locked away. And yet there was Kogitsunemaru. The one who had opened all of those gates with such ease Mikazuki could have never seen it coming.

But it was a breakdown he didn't seem to mind. In fact, he welcomed the invasion. For Kogitsunemaru he would allow himself to break away from the mold of nobility. To allow himself to open up and perhaps do things unfitting for a one of the upper class. What could have caused this break of tradition? This unfolding of the norm and stepping into a territory he knew he was forbidden from entering.

Was this... love?
