I. shopping

a) [ azusa was in one of those spending moods today. when's the last time he'd gone out shopping with the swords? ( more like whens the last time he was allowed--) at any rate, since the citadel was getting low on supplies he took it upon himself to drag off the first person in sight with him to go supply shopping, list in hand and everything.

of course, once they got there that list was quickly forgotten upon noticing some colorful displays with nice fashion. he's looking intently at the shining accessories and clothes with silky fabrics. grabbing onto the person's arm, he grins. ]

Hey, do... you want this? You do right? So if I buy it, it'll be a justified purchase, right? [ as his grip tightens his face looks like it's saying something along the lines of: please say yes! ]


b) [ well, this shopping trip has definitely derailed from what it was originally for. since he's just so good at persuasion he's managed to convince his shopping pal to try on clothes with him. ...wasn't this a supply run?

ANYWAY, once they're both out of the changing room he takes a good look at the other and... ] Ew, what is that? No no, go change. Those colors don't match at all! We're trying to look fashionable, not like weird street performers! (no chill) Alright, here, try this instead. [ quickly, he shoves a separate set of clothes into their arms before they could say anything else. ]

II. Repairs

[ well! that was an eventful expedition. everyone got all scratched and banged up from the looks of it. seems like azusa is going to have to change his strategy, but that's for another time. right now he has to take care of all those wounds. leaving himself for last because...ok look, he's fine--it's not because he hates the antiseptic products or anything. that open wound on his shoulder can heal up on its own. yeah right.

as the first person shows up to be treated he pulls out the bandages and medicine from the kit and takes their hand quickly dabbing at the scratches. ]

This is gonna sting a little, but it'll be over soon. I'll be as gentle as possible m'kay? ( practice what you preach azusa... )

[ with medical pliers in hand he'll make sure to pull out any splinters or tips of arrows in any of the wounds before cleaning and bandaging. ]

My idea was pretty bad, huh? I went and got you guys all ruined like this haha, sorry. I'll think of something else next time. I know, I'll get you guys new accessories as an apology. Sound good? Ah, if I miss any wounds tell me. If you're feeling nauseous, also tell me! I won't be able to tell from just looking.

III. Forging

[ As soon as he returned home he set everything down and scurried to the forgery. ] Nyaha! a new friend is home, Gotta make sure they feel welcomed! [ As he opens the doors the first thing he does is pull up the two outfits he had waiting just for them.]

Good afternoon!...No, wait--Good evening! This is for you. Tell me, which one of these do you like better? [ ah yes, the azusa ritual of gifting each new sword with a brand new pair of clothes. ]

It's important to know where your tastes lie.

IV. Omiyage

[ Finally, he's home and with tons of treasures from that supply hunt. He picked out most of these with someone in mind--now he just has to give these to everyone. It's just one of those gift-giving days and he wants to show gratitude so! ]

Hey! If you're sleeping wake up! I'm home and I brought gifts--they're not dead this time. So I'll get lots of pats on the head right? You should praise me! In return, I'll also pat and praise you Nyahaha! It's a win win.

[ as he says that he goes around passing his gifts to everyone expectantly waiting to be pet or something of the like. ]

Ooh, that's a good point. Things go outta style really fast, don't they? [He's read about this in magazines!! He's seen it himself! One issue they'll be talking about how boot cut pants are all the rage, the next it's skinny jeans, and then pants are out altogether for like an entire season... Ah, the shifting tides of fashion.

But!! Looking up curiously as Azusa holds the earrings up! The chain cuffs are way cute, but they do fit a little strangely... Still:]

Both are pretty cute! That's a look that's in right now, isn't it? Different types of earrings on the same ear... I think I've seen it a few times.

Well, how else do you expect me to pull them out? I'm not some all powerful being, I said it'd sting a little didn't I? I did! I know it's painful, I hate it too you know!

[ Gosh Tsuru what were you expecting with wounds like these! He's doing his best! Now that he has Tsuru distracted with the idea of shiny new accessories he'll be quick about removing the rest of those tips! ]

What accessories does Tsuru like best? They can be aaanything you want, I'll get them for you no matter what they are! [ You might want to retract that last statement Azusa... ] Shiny new necklaces and bracelets..stuff like that, I think they suit! If you sit still for a little, maybe there will be an extra reward! It's a good deal right? Think about it! [ In the midst of chatting away he'll spray antiseptic onto the cuts and swab them clean of any blood. For the most part, the cuts were easy to patch, but how would he distract Tsuru long enough to mend the more severe injuries? ]

But you're a saniwa. Aren't you supposed to be some all-powerful being anyway?

[ if he can go around summoning spirits from blades, doesn't that make him pretty powerful already? ...or something like that. though, should azusa really give tsuru the freedom to pick whatever he wants? since unfortunately, tsuru naturally gravitates towards the high-end of luxury jewelry, worth billions of yen.

which would put a huge strain on the citadel budget! and while "surprise! i put all of us billions of yen in debt" is exactly up his alley, just imagine the swords that would be after his head... so he frowns, in between hisses and small 'ow's at the applied antiseptic. ]

You can't just say there'll be any kind of reward. You have to tell me what it is! Who knows if you can even afford the stuff I have in mind?

Yeah, like, all the time. It's suuper annoying when you're someone who stays on top of the latest trends. Half of my closet was declared out of style once--that really sucked you know? Fashion is just a whole other battlefield!
[ He still doesn't know what was more of a crime, all of that going out of style or having to get rid of all of it.

Anyway, he takes a look in a mirror situated on the stand and... he's glued to it. Making sure they suit from every angle. ]

Mismatched earrings are in season, aren't they? If only ear cuffs were more cat-ear friendly. Oh! Here's an Idea, I can wear mine on the left and you can wear yours on the right. [ and so he hands Kashuu a similar pair. ]

I-- well yeah! I am a Saniwa and sure I can breathe life into things, but unfortunately for you, magical healing powers from fairies that make everything all better in one single touch--didn't exactly come with the kit. Sorry! So you'll just have to deal with a little pain from time to time.

[ And with that said, he'll spray a wound a few extra times. All aboard the sass train! Honestly, if he did have a skill like that it'd make repairs go so much smoother!

[ Leave it up to Kogitsunemaru to figure out a playful pun that reflects the unique quality of his Master! With a gentle nod of his head, he lowers it and turns around to show the long mane of 'fur' that always hung neatly down to his waist and then some. ]

But he leans over to watch as he checks the earrings, perking up noticeably at his idea. Holding the pair up to his right ear...]

But anyway, as he's motioned over he'll lean down for Sada to wrap his arm around. A selfie is never truly complete without a peace sign, so he's all for this. Azusa pulls the camera over them nodding. ]

Ooh, yeah! Definitely this will be a good picture! What do you think the others will be saying when they see it? 'Uwahh Sada-chan and master are so cool! If only their stylish influence would rub off on us! ' or something like that? Nyahaha! I can dream.

[ Now that Kogi has turned, Azusa will pick up his hair and comb it carefully with his fingers, of course, he won't stop there-- these clips deserve to be worn with a fashionable hairstyle! So he'll separate a few strands and neatly braid it before he's to apply the clips. ]

Kogi has so much hair, it should be styled more often. It'd be a shame to do nothing with it. [ Even if it get's tiring on the arms handling all that. After a few more twists and turns, he applies the clips and.. ] Ta-dah! It's all done, see! [ He pulls up a mirror so Kogi can see his reflection. ] It looks good right? My skills are second to none aren't they!

[ He knows that all too well, especially after dealing with a few certain swords who weren't too keen on the idea of being stylish! It's a tough life when no one understands why you're agonizing over a new clothing line like him! ...But Kashuu has a point! ]

He'll look at Kashuu for a moment...and as expected! When the earrings suit you just right. ]

[ It's true he's always going from one sword to the other making sure their style is just right among other things, but it won't do to neglect other swords! Everyone is equally as important and equally deserving of gifts from him! Look, just-- let him spend to show gratitude. ]

Ah? Are you having trouble tying the sash maybe? [ He'll peek into the dressing room to help Sayo. The outfit he gave him is pretty complicated... but it's ok he's here to help! ] Oh, that's because you missed a few buttons at the top, here. [ No wonder! He kneels to undo the mismatched buttons and fixes them for him. ] You have to make sure all the buttons meet properly like this see?

[ In the end, he'll just help him with the rest and then turn him towards the mirror. ] Western styles take getting accustomed to, but don't you look so different this way? It's a nice change, isn't it? Sayo is sparkling. Take a look!

[ For awhile, he had been thinking about documenting the cute moments that his brothers all have...though he likewise thinks that every moment of theirs are "cute" and therefor, should be documented but writing about it in a journal just isn't quite the same.

Azusa must have noticed? Or maybe he secretly read Ichigo's journal??? However, he probably just has a good intuition. ]

He sure is beaming in response to the rest of that, too! A makeover party? Count him in one hundred times over, honestly. His chest puffs out at the compliment too, and he brushes some of his hair back in a preening motion.]

[ Though very disciplined and trusting, Kogitsunemaru does worry about the handling of his fur. Always well maintained, he spent more than enough time grooming it with various products and brushes. So, for Azusa to be just as good if not better than his normal routine... he's very thankful. The foxes are clipped on after the braiding and Kogi marvels at it in the mirror. ]

I know no one else who is as skilled as you are in this regard. [ Even Kashuu, the fashionista himself, could barely hold a candle to his Sanyawa! ]

[This saniwa is going to be Trouble, he can already tell. Doudanuki rolls his eyes at the comment about style and shifts his sword where it lays across his shoulder. If he cared about style, he'd be useless on the battlefield where surviving was more important that what color feather you stuck in your hair.

He waits patiently as his new saniwa circled him like a vulture?? Who knew. This is a new experience for him. He raises an eyebrow at the loud HM and then blinks, barely able to react before he's getting dragged along.]

Spar with you? Are you serious? I'm not against sparrin' anybody, but you sure you wanna go up against a sword?

[What if he killed the saniwa?? WOULD HE GET IN TROUBLE???]

[ Small gasp, maybe its Ichigo who's the mind reader here... ] Ooh...of me? [ We all know how much Azusa likes pictures. ESPECIALLY of himself. He's practically shimmering at the idea. ] Well--It's not like I would refuse something like that! An adorable picture of me...make sure to catch my good side! Though all of them are good...

[ Ah yes, he's in his natural habitat, the modeling for photos scene. He'll pose a few different ways and settle for something very cat-like. ]

[ He's aware he probably doesn't come off as someone practiced, but that doesn't stop him from feeling a little insulted. Geez Doudanuki, haven't you ever heard of the phrase cats have 9 lives? ]

[ Lifting his arm up he'll make a flexing motion. ] You're not the first sword I've sparred with after all. I have to do this with everyone!

[ BESIDES, if Azusa was unskilled enough to be killed by one of his own swords, he wouldn't even still be standing here--realistically speaking. Of course, that doesn't mean he hasn't gotten some bad injuries in this process. Actually, his bandaged everywhere is proof of that.

Anyway, upon reaching the sparring grounds he'll look for a blade of his own and throw one of his sleeves off his shoulder to free up his arms a bit. A light adjustment in stance and...he's ready! ] Come on come on!

[HIS HEADPATS! A good, even trade... Kashuu beams, tilting his head a little for maximum patting.]

What's that saying? Praise where praise is due or whatever...? [Waving a hand, CLOSE ENOUGH. He'll let himself be pulled along without fuss too, trotting to keep in step with Azusa as he goes.]

Ah, well, master knows best! How can I argue with that? [Why would he want to, more like... Especially when faced with ROWS OF MAKEUP and bottles of pretty new polish?!]

Let me pick out something good, okay? But I'll keep it a surprise, so you can't take any peeks!

[No???? He's also never seen a person with cat ears, which is why he is very pointedly ignoring them. People wear weird things on their heads all the time, right?? Look at Kashuu or the old man. All the time.

Buuut if the saniwa is certain and he's sparred the other swords (not that he knows which swords are here yet), then he'll relent and follow along to the grounds. It's weird how every citadel looks the same and different, and Doudanuki can't help but look around and take it all in as they walk. The layout is almost identical while the furnishings are all new to him. He can't quite get a good look without having to stop the mad dash to the sparring ground though, so he gives it all a cursory glance before moving on.]

Alright, but I'm gonna go all out. If you hold anything back, you're gonna get hurt, got it?

[Not that it seems that Azusa needs the warning because he's already with a blade and in a stance by the time Doudanuki is setting his helmet down. Are all saniwas this crazy???

He joins his new master in the ring, holding his sheathed sword at his side. Fighting is natural to him, so he slides into a solid stance and narrows his eyes, watching Azusa. He turns slightly, putting one hand on the hilt of his weapon, and then slowly begins inching forward, strafing to his right.]

Ready when you are, Master.

[ Perfection is always a matter of time, even if it takes forever... but Kogitsune is happy to reap the rewards of the practice time that has already been spent. The fur takes too long, but he's happy to offer it to his Sanyawa.

For now, though, he will do his best to make his master happy. ]

Of course. Who wouldn't want to touch those ears?

[ With a very careful touch, he brings his hand over those cute features and gently scratches behind them, even taking some time to rub the ears directly with a thumb and finger. So soft! So cute! Ugh, what a blessing... ]

[It's one thing if it's from another sword. But when the master himself is giving him gifts, Sayo can't exactly decline.

Sayo looks down at the buttons once Azusa's done with them, seeing how they're all neatly lined up in a roll. He nods in understanding and let Azusa help him, watching his master carefully to see how to put this outfit on properly. So that goes there, and this goes there...

And it's time to check his reflection! Sayo looks up and stares. He really looks different like this. Not as scruffy as normal, even if he still have his bandages on his face. He turns around, looking at his back and moving his limbs. If they're getting this, which is pretty likely at this rate, Sayo wants to check out easy it is to move in this.

Although he doesn't know what kind of situation he would wear this in. He's just a sword...]

I do look very different, Master... It's strange, but... not bad.

[He doesn't hate it, at least?!]
