Important work to be done, or simply relaxing for the swords who aren't sent out onto a sortie or an expedition. However one may choose to fill their time at this point, they would have to walk past this tree at one point.

Until a persimmon dropped onto the ground near them. Or if they're unlucky, it dropped onto their head.]

[Sitting up on one of the tree branch above them, looking down with an awkward and mildly sheepish expression, is Sayo.]

[If it were Imanotsurugi, he wouldn't even have to ask. Jumping never really seemed like it was Sayo's thing, though... Midare eyes the tree branches a little warily. Is it even safe to climb?]

I climbed up.

[Sayo definitely did climb up this tree by himself. The front of his garb is a little dirty from his attempts earlier.]

Wow, that's impressive! ...how will you get down?

[It's one thing to manage to get the branches, but there's not anything to grab onto down below.]

I would jump down, but...

[But he might drop his fruity hoard.]

[Helpfully ("helpfully"), Midare goes up on tiptoe and holds up his arms, as if to... get ready to catch him?]

If you jump down, I promise I'll catch you!

[He's deliberately misunderstanding what you mean here, Sayo. Feel free to pelt him with persimmons.]

[Like, yeah, they're both swords. Midare can probably handle his weight. Sayo's just worried about accidentally wasting food.]
