VACATION IS WHERE I WANNA BE
![]() ☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something. |

[He's out in the water and swimming around in it. Sayo's arms are covered in these to help him keep afloat in the water. So even if he's drifting away from the shallow ends, he won't drown!
Especially as he get swept away by the waves... further...further...
Um.
There's a tantou being swept away from the beach hELP.]
Master... Niisan...!
7. Damnable Seagulls
[Alright, you damn punks.
Sayo have been initially friendly and feeding them. But now they're swooping in and stealing the food. And the most blasphemous of it all? They try to get his persimmons and snacks. So logically, what does he do?
Pick up seashells and throw it at the seagulls. Watch out if it's coming in your direction...!]
9. WILDCARD
[Alright, gimme your best shot, bruh.]
7!
And of course the new target is Kashuu. Of course. So he sure does get conked right upside the head with a sand dollar, which is mercifully free of edges but still pretty surprising when it comes out of nowhere... He jolts upright with a little yelp, quickly feeling his face for any marks with one hand while the other reaches for the disc.]
Who did that—?!
[HE'S EXPECTING TSURUMARU OR SOMETHING.]
Re: 7!
...It was me.
[At least Sayo looks a bit... sheepish? Apologetic?]
Sorry. It was supposed to hit the seagull.
no subject
Why were you trying to hit a seagull, huh?
[LIKE OKAY, SURE, SOUNDS LEGIT but why.]
no subject
IfWhen Sayo wants revenge, he only do it to the right people. Or things. He raise his hand and points at the offending bird. Birds. There's more than one nearby...]Because they're troublesome thieves.
[THAT ONE TRY TO GET HIS PERSIMMONS.]
no subject
...If you don't eat near them it should be fine, I think. Just like, keep under some cover.
[Look at them just hanging out with their little beady red eyes, though. THEY'RE A DANGER. He feels menaced.]
no subject
[He can't trust those birds to stay away from their spots. Look at their faces and hear those taunting caws.]
no subject
What about the beach house? You can sit in there, right?
[Not ideal if Sayo wants to actually be out on the beach, though...]
no subject
[Sayo doesn't want to stay cooped up inside for the entire trip. He's been indoors for more than long enough before his manifestation.]
And I don't trust them to leave.

[The tragic life of a beach-goer, being stuck perpetually in seagull hell.]
Maybe you can just... I dunno, make an umbrella fortress or something?
no subject
[He looks like he's considering the idea.]
Do we have enough umbrellas for it?
no subject
[Easier said than done, considering most of the largest umbrellas belong to the fussy swords?!]
no subject
Yeah. We can return them later.
[The threat of the seagulls is a good enough explanation, right.]
7
blanketcloak blocks some of his peripheral vision. A shell hits him on the side of the head then falls to the sand. He looks at it then Sayo puzzled, more confused than hurt. Then he sees and hears the seagulls growing more agitated and aggressive. Instantly he goes into a defensive position and is ready to strike with whatever's available: shell, seaweed, driftwood, sand, whatever. Or run. These damn birds are the beach goers' mortal enemy and can overpower with sheer numbers.
But maybe running doesn't have to be an option with two of them working together. ]
Re: 7
After seeing that Yamanbagiri is fine and even ready to strike back at the seagulls, Sayo quickly pick up more projectiles to use. Shells, seaweed, rocks, anything, with his hands.
The birds are watching them, giving them a mocking cry. Try and beat them.]
no subject
However food is a lot more interesting than cloak fibers. Yamanbagiri starts by following Sayo's example and throws a chipped clam shell at a gull perched on the edge of a snack filled box. It's not the best aim as the shell sails past the main body of the bird, but at least uchigatana can have catapults. The gull squawks and hops tauntingly at the miss. One next to it joins in and caws. ]
no subject
He saw the gull on the snack filled box. Isn't that one belonged to one of the swords? Sayo stares at it, before he tried to throw a seaweed covered rock at it. Instead of the bird, it hits the box instead.
Caw, caw!]
no subject
The box wobbles at the hit and jolts the gulls up into the air, but they quickly land on another object to continue their barrage of cries. Their eyes seem to glint anger at the continued assault from the swords. Yamanbagiri nearly throws a handful of sand like he's heard his brother talk about in relation to "Kane-san" but stops himself. He doesn't want to throw sand all over someone's food. That defeats the purpose of saving it from the gulls. So more rocks and seashells it is.
One seagull flaps its wings to gain height; it wants to divebomb for food or an attack. It's hard to tell which. ]
no subject
It looks like that seagull is about to dive for something. Themselves or the food. Whichever it is, Sayo watches it carefully with a rock in his hand. And then he quickly throws it.
And it... hits?!
There's a pained cry from that seagull, which sounds almost sweet to the small tantou's ears. The birds have more than earned their spot on his list of revenge.]
no subject
It's a hit! The other seagulls squawk in shock and anger as the hit gull shakes its head and decides to retreat. Not trying to give the rest seagulls a chance to recover and regroup, Yamanbagiri throws a handful of shell fragments to rain down on them. What he lacks in aim, he hopes numbers will make up for it. ]
This food is not for you!
[ Maybe if they continue the aggressive assault, the gulls will leave and bother someone else.
Like beach picnicking KBC.]no subject
The sheer numbers Yamanbagiri is throwing is working. Some of the shell fragments missed, but the rest are hitting the seagulls at various parts of their feathery, demonic bodies.]
Leave before I kill you all!
[Sayo sounds... rather serious about it. And bonk, there's a thrown head right at a seagull's head.]
no subject
They go to bother someone else for now, maybe destroy some sand castles while they're at it. ]
... They're gone?
[ Yamanbagiri waits to see if the gulls change their mind and try to attack from behind. ]
no subject
...It seems so.
[He slowly walks over towards his snack box, checking if it's okay. Looks about right, and, after looking up, the birds aren't returning.]
no subject
We should go before they decide to return.
[ And he's pretty sure that they will try to return, cocky horrors that they are. ]
no subject
Yes, we should.
...Thank you for your help, Yamanbagiri-san.
