☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼
Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls.

001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--!

002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle.

003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway.

004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK.

005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher.

006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry.

007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...?

008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it?

009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something.

[GOD, this kid... What a little bundle of energy. Kashuu, who's also carrying a little cooler (that is mostly comprised of his own stuff), glances over when he hears that. Is Urashima even talking to him?? A mystery... He happens to be closest though, so he'll be the one to answer.]

Sure, sure. Just don't wander out too far or you'll get stranded in some caves when the tide comes in.

[THAT'S A REALLY SPECIFIC CONCERN TO HAVE... Clearly someone's been watching too much television lately.]

( You would be energetic as heck too if you'd been captured by KBC forces for gods know how long. He also doesn't mind talking to Kashuu. After all, Kashuu was a good friend of Nagasone's from the past so that made him a good sword in his book too. )

Haha, that won't happen! We can just follow Kamekichi straight down. Right, Kamekichi? ( And the lucky turtle spirit remains the same-- quiet, eyes closed, resting on Urashima's shoulder. ) I wonder what sort of treasure is down there~! What do you think, Kashuu-san?

( Pearls? Gold? Maybe even a rare sword to bring back for master? )

[WELL THAT SURE IS one way of deciding which swords to approve of... Not that Kashuu would complain but good lord, Urashima.]

Uh... [He glances at Kamekichi, brow furrowing a little. He doesn't trust something that seems like it's perpetually asleep to be able to dig any of them out of trouble literally or metaphorically, and even if he is a sea turtle, does it even still remember how to swim? Just how long has it been riding on Urashima's shoulder?? Unsolved mysteries.

He decides not to ask.]

I dunno. Some nice shells, I guess? [Incredible.]

( Come on, Kamekichi isn't really asleep though! Some times he wanders around on his own! Some times he has to chomp onto Urashima's sleeve to keep up... Could a sleeping turtle do all of those things? )

( He seriously considers it. Yes, he can see it! )

There are probably a lot of pretty shells down there. Oooh, but maybe we'll find some on the beach too! ( He doesn't know. ) Is this your first time at the beach?

[Maybe he just snaps awake when he needs to!! Like he has some sort of bizarre turtle sense for danger...

But wow, Urashima is actually satisfied with that flatline of an answer, incredible. What an easy to please kid?!]

It's the first time that counts! [Because traveling by the beaches or going through port towns doesn't count at all, okay.] But I read that there are always tons of pretty shells to find. I guess people make art and jewelry and stuff with them.

Mhm! They're all over the place!

Ah but a lot of them are broken. ( He sounds a little disappointed by this ) The waves wash them ashore and a lot of them end up breaking because they aren't strong enough.

But I bet there're a bunch of perfect shells at the palace!

[The disappointed note in his voice has Kashuu glancing back over again. After a second of thought:]

Check by the tide pools and stuff, too. If things die in there, they're safe from being broken on rocks.

[THAT'S A DEPRESSING WAY TO WORD THINGS but it's true...]

That's a good idea!

( Kashuu is so smart. Depressing or not, it seems lost on him and he ends up picking up his pace some to walk alongside Kashuu. )

Do you want to look together? ... For a little while!

( He doesn't want to take up too much of his time. )

[WELL GOSH he may be a little too energetic, but no one can say that he isn't considerate... Once they're level in their walking, he glances over.]

—Yeah, sure. Why not? [SHRUGGING. How could he say no...] Just lemme go find a spot to put my stuff, first.

[All of his stuff... Why did he take so much with him on a one-day beach excursion?? Because he's Prepared™, okay. Just wait until his hair dryer comes in handy.]

( Hachisuka has truly raised him well. At least, when it comes to being considerate towards others... that aren't fakes, of course! Not that Urashima took that last part to heart. )

I'll help you! ( It's the least he can do and he doesn't have a lot. ) ... What do you even have in there?

( It... looks like a lot and Urashima can't really understand when literally all he brought with him for this entire trip was able to fit in the same pack as Hachisuka. A change of clothes, his swim shorts, and a frisbee someone gave him! Of course, that doesn't mean Hachisuka isn't lugging around his own bag with everything for the two of them... It's easy being the little brother when you have such a responsible older one that spoils you. )

[Some swords just have all the luck of every draw when it comes to siblings, gosh.

But Kashuu has brought a ridiculous amount even for a high-maintenance sword... This is his fate, being overly prepared in stupid situations.]

Hm? [Glancing toward his beach bag! Because clearly that's what Urashima is talking about, and not the cooler and extra bags he's dragging along in the opposite hand.] Just some sunscreen and sunglasses and stuff. Oh, and magazines, in case it gets boring out here.

[And a small makeup kit for emergency touch-ups, and some plastic baggies with snacks that he didn't want anyone else stealing, and some regular lotion, some aloe gel for preemptive burn treatment, a few extra pieces of jewelry in case he wanted to change outfits midway through the day, an extra shirt if his gets wet (who has the patience to wait for it to dry??), a disposable camera that he doesn't know how to use...]
