VACATION IS WHERE I WANNA BE
 ☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something. |

So as soon as the stuff is moved, Kashuu flounces his way on in and unceremoniously drops all of his things into the wet sand.]
Ugh, how gross. I thought beaches were supposed to be like, super nice and warm and sunny all the time?

But at the question, he glances at all of the
thingsgarbage he's dragged along with him and then back up at Horikawa with a mildly confused expression, like he can't understand why that's even been asked.]It'd get all wet if I left it out in the rain, duh.
[Even though there are some things here that could honestly be left out in the rain and do just fine... Like the cooler?? Why did he even bring that, it's a mystery.
He at least has the decency to look over at Horikawa's pile too, just to make sure he didn't squash anything, but it's a very cursory glance.]

however, THE POINT IS THAT THEY'RE NOT IN THE RAIN ANYMORE, so at least that's something... too bad horikawa's question was somehow misunderstood so hard that it flew out of the cave and waited for a quick death by the hand of a sea critter or kbseagull. rest in pieces. ]
You're drenched. Need a towel? [ even though he's still a little frustrated at the situation, it's still horikawa. so he'll offer kashuu a fluffy pink towel that's probably more suited for a bathroom rather than a trip to the beach, but it'll do the trick for now. ]

But Horikawa's got his back as usual, and he reaches out for the towel when it's held out.]
Thanks. [The important question here is, why is a towel not among the copious amount of Things™ that Kashuu's brought along with him... He'll start toweling off his hair either way, still making faces at the rain as it falls.]

it's also one of the only reasons why he doesn't destroy kashuu right about now, also because no one else paints nails like he does. horikawa wants tips for later, okay? maybe a lesson? ah, the weather is grinding his nerves... ]
Maybe it'll pass quickly? [ he looks optimistic, but on the inside he feels the quiet urge to give kashuu a good bop.

And of course he's always willing to make everyone around him just as fabulous! In fact, there are some bottles of polish tucked away in his stack of Stuff because no one told him you don't have to pack for a beach trip like you're going to live there, apparently. At least that would give Horikawa something to do that might take his mind off of his mild weather-induced irritation...]
Maaaybe. I don't wanna leave so soon, so it better. [A sigh, and he leans back onto his heels. The rain gets one last sour look before Kashuu turns his attention back to Horikawa.]
D'you have any cards or something? We can play while we wait. [HOW EASILY BORED IS HE.]

why would you have nail polish here of all places?! it's a beach! there's SAND! any wind would quickly ruin the paint and make it grainy and oh gosh, what a mess it'd be. of course, either kashuu is incredibly well prepared or a goober. probably the latter. horikawa wouldn't mind a nice shade of dark blue or maybe dark red, think kanesada would like it?... ]
You're right. It'd be a shame to waste a vacation in this hole. [ the company is fine but it's just not what he was expecting... much like THAT QUESTION, REALLY?!!?! ]

AND LOOK. He's both, okay. He's a goober but he's also incredibly well-prepared! What if he chips a nail on a shell or something?? It would be unsightly to go about for the rest of the trip without fixing that! Now he's ready to face any potential cosmetic mishap.
WHAT'S WITH THAT DRY-ASS TONE, THOUGH?! He doesn't even have the chance to voice his agreement about wasting their vacation time, but he sure does shoot A Look™ over without missing a beat.]

but hey, he'll ease up a bit. frankly he's astounded that kashuu would be so prepared but not prepared at the same time. that's a skill that can't be taught, it's innate and something one has to develop through sheer force of a lack of will and incorrect foresight... if that even makes sense. ]
Well, maybe you brought some and forgot? Let's see. [ he's used to be extremely nosy and irritating, so he dives into kashuu's bags (NOT LITERALLY) to see what he can find. let's see, okay, some of that nail polish, extra clothes, even more clothes... ]

Uh— yeah? There're outlets in the beach house. If I got salt water in my hair and let it just dry like that, it'd get all dull and gross.
[Duh, Horikawa!! There's also basically an entire coffee table's worth of magazines crammed into the bottom of one of those bags, which has been lined with plastic to keep them from getting wet... He is indeed extremely prepared but not prepared at the same time.]

he'll be very careful. he'll even put it back neater than before so that way whenever they do go home, it'll be easier for kashuu to return it to their normal locations back in the citadel. yep, thank team mom. ]
It's not like we were going to stay for more than a day. Your hair would have been fine. [ seriously kashuu, you do a great job taking care of it so there's no reason to worry! given how long he preens and grooms himself no need to fear a little salt...

But wow, Team Mom sure does take care of the morons among them well. Kashuu isn't watching him being so neat and tidy with his stuff either, so he can't even appreciate this kindness... He's too busy fussing with his hair again, oops.]
D'you know how much damage saltwater can do? One day would totally be enough! [HE'S SO SERIOUS ABOUT THIS HORIKAWA just one hour would be too much!! Don't make him sit through more than 12 with salty hair...

I wouldn't know. This is my first time to the beach. [ INTERROGATION MODE: ENGAGED. ] And, Kashuu... if you did know it'd hurt your hair [ it looks good, by the way ], why'd you go into the water in the first place?
