VACATION IS WHERE I WANNA BE
 ☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something. |

[It isn't that he's afraid of the water. In fact, he's gotten pretty close to it and is staring at the waves as they wash in an out. He can't decide if the waves are washing blue or green, although a lot of people described the ocean as blue. It looks a little green to him, or maybe it was just his feeling. He was born for the battlefield, not the navy, which means he doesn't know how to swim.
But like hell if he's going to use those brightly colored rings or the little wings. He'll just act cool and stand at the edge of the water, that's good enough, right?]
004. BEACH ANIMALS
[Ugh...they're so cute. Dotanuki is hunched down over a tidepool, watching as the little hermit crabs scuttle around on the bottom. There are some fish in here, too, but the tachi's attention is focused on the crabs and their dinged up shells. He glances around to make sure no one is watching and then he dips his hands into the water and picks up a few of them, cupping his palms and waiting for them to crawl out and start walking around.
He waits, staring intently at the creatures in his hands until they start moving.]
005. MELON SLASHERS
[The others might think they're the kings of splitting things in half, but Dotanuki was made for it. He steps up with his jersey top down and tied around his waist, his tachi drawn. He has three of the largest melons chosen and lined up already.]

Forged in Tosa, not far from the beach, sword of the man some would call the father of the imperial navy... Even his clothes reflected his affinity for the water, with wave designs on his clothes and his anchor crest displayed proudly. It should really come as no surprise that Mutsu would take to the water like a fish. He's spent most of the day so far splashing around in the ocean, playing with the other spirits but he'd noticed Dotanuki earlier, standing at the water's edge instead of coming in. When he'd looked back a few times later, he was gone. Ah, well... Dotanuki probably found something else to do, right?
It's not that he's actively looking for Dotanuki either. Honestly! He's just exploring the rest of the beach, trying to get the most of the experience, when he spies upon the tachi spirit. He watches in silent for a few seconds before announcing his presence, )
What d'ya got there, Dotanuki-san? Somethin` cool? I wanna see!

Dotanuki jumps when there's a sudden voice behind him, sending the hermit crabs scuttling back into their shells. He protectively cups his hands around them, drawing them back to his chest before he turns to look at the puppy sword that has suddenly appeared.]

The beach! ( Stating the obvious and just skipping around this rock formation he was spying from to get a closer look. ) I was wonderin` where ya went off to!

Hopefully all should be well though, since he is much bulkier than she is. The force shouldn't knock him into the water.]

Their backs collide and Dotanuki ends up dropping forward. He careens for a moment, then splashes forward into the water. The salt stings his eyes and it's a lot colder than he expected.
But it's also shallow, so he doesn't feel like he's drowning. Yet. Dotanuki turns and looks up to see who pushed him onto all fours.]

I'm sorry--... [And realised it was Dotanuki. She quickly sets the inflatable aside (and hope that it won't float away) when she moves over, a big step to get to him through the water to lean over and help pull him up.]
Dotanuki! Are you alright? [She's hoping he didn't get water up his nose either.]

[He spits into the water, trying to clear his mouth of it, then sees the little inflatable ball swirling. Does it look like it's going somewhere? Huh, weird.]

I wouldn't really know - it's my first time being to one and not needing to fight while there.
[He'd been forged in Kumamoto, but he wasn't a sea sword like some of the others.]

[She looks around, trying to see what she can point out.] The beach usually a place for someone to enjoy a nice day under the sun, whether or not they wish to be in the water or just stay on the sand. Whether or not you want to play games or just eat is up to you. Some even take naps. You are on holiday, you can do whatever you like.

I believe there are routines that can be used for exercise and sparring, for the reason you just mentioned. But why not think about that later and give having a holiday a try? You have nothing to lose.
