[The Citadel is huge, so it's a good thing they have all the time in the world to dick around.
--Well, no, they don't. But the point is, it's a free day. There will be absolutely no work done at all. Unless you want to or something. If you do, you're pretty weird.
The dojo is always open for sparring and practice. If there's any sparring errand you've slacked on, now's the chance to make up! The horse stables are also full of activity, whether the horses are being tended to or rode around-- be careful not to let them trample the fields, though, which is full of rice sprouts and budding cabbage. The lake in front of the saniwa(s)' room has tiny frogs jumping about, and you could catch them in the palm of your hand.
The kitchen is full of food, if you're volunteering to make lunch or have decided that meal time cannot possibly come any later and you simply must prepare something before you die from starvation. While there has been a considerable effort made to make the Citadel look as homely as possible to the swords which come from Japan's past, there's speckles of technology here and there.
The TV room is a good example, with a huge screen sitting on top of a few console systems. Don't break them, you'll only be getting this luxury once. Take turns and play nice. The swords may also find themselves tending the fields with water sprinklers and hoses instead of watering cans, for instance, or heating up some leftover pie in the fridge instead of making another one from scratch since there's technology to preserve food well over a week. The armory and smithy are definitely a little bit more modern than they'd be back in the past, though much is still made by hand-- nothing beats the fine work of a master. Perhaps you'll have a few new friends today, or you want to try creating a cute little soldier spirits todie for you accompany you in battle. Make sure they enter the orb completely, or else it'll turn brown and crack.
Or perhaps you're one of the unlucky swords still stuck in the repair room, sword body still being re-smelted and fixed. Hope the saniwa is good at making you all shiny. If you want to skip all that waiting, perhaps you can try to use a helper token... but they're all in the saniwa's room! Guess you've got to use that Camouflage stat...
But if you truly cannot bear with staying in the Citadel, the time device the saniwa(s) have isn't locked away. You can go on sorties or expeditions to fill your time with something productive.
Just a warning: don't change the past. You won't succeed.
...You could always try, though.]

MARIO PARTY THREAD, LET'S GO
[It probably isn't and Shishiō's mistaken, but whatever. He sits right down next to Sayo, nue hopping off his shoulders to curl around his legs.] Let's play multiplayer! There's another remote here, right?
[And perhaps someone else walks in at those moment to join in... or maybe they can just play with each other.]
How many players does it say we can have?
SLIDES IN TOO
Can you fit three? I wanna join, too!
[ More fun than bouncing around on the beds, surprisingly. He kept getting kicked out by the older swords. ]
HELLO THIS WON'T END BADLY AT ALL
I think we can have...four players.
[Perfect number for the friendship ruining game. Sayo returns with two remotes to give to both Shishiou and Imanotsurugi. He holds them out to them.]
Here.

[He puts down his gohei by the side and examines the strange light box, and the strange tools that the other three were holding. Is this some sort of sacred mirror for some new-age ritual?]
I am curious to what these are for.
Sayo > Ishikirimaru > Shishio > Imanotsurugi?
They're for playing a game! For bonding! Teamwork!
[Ah, someone has a terribly skewed idea of Mario Party if he thinks it'll bond them and make them work as a team. Perhaps in team mode...? Nah, even then...]
fine with me!
A game, huh. This is quite the interesting ritual equipment. How do you use this?
[A? B? Z? What powers do these symbols possess?]
shou, i was supposed to be next
[ When Ishikirimaru comes in, he looks up to give the odachi a friendly wave. ]
It's a sort of shiny toy, I think. You're supposed to, uh - [ quick where's the manual ] - press buttons to play... the game?
[ ??? ]
at least i'm still up
You press the buttons and they do things in the game.
[At least based on what he observed and fiddle with. Hm, looks like there's the multiplayer mode's options.]
Are you going to play, Ishikirimaru-san?
[Sayo's curious. Is it more fun with more people?]
DO WE CHANGE THE ORDER w/e ishikirimaru can go next
[But the next best thing is to bark orders at Sayo and hope he follows through on them!!]
Click the multiplayer! Party Mode! And choose the haunted house! The haunted house is always the best!
[Ah, he's passionate about this, okay...]
no subject
[Bleep. Player 3. What strange things young people make to pass the time.
Haunted house? A place full of malicious spirits is terribly impure.]
Purify and cleanse.
[Looks like anyone can't take the Shinto priest out of him, even when he's off-duty.]
no subject
He tries to press the 'back' button, sighing as 'Player 4' pops up on the screen. ]
Why the haunted house? [ It's scary! Or something... ]
no subject
Multiplayer -> Party Mode -> Haunted House.
Set...
He pause and looks over at Imanotsurugi.]
...Do you want to pick something else? [Haunted houses aren't that scary! In this vengeful sword's mind.]
no subject
[Shishiō seems to ignore Ishikirimaru's rather worrying devotion to his duty, instead focusing on Imanotsurugi.] Don't worry, Shishiō-sama will protect you from the spirits in the game! --By the way, don't choose the turtle with a hammer! That's mine!
[Of course Shishiō goes for the Hammer Bro, it's the unlockable character, so therefore it's 100% more important and precious.]
no subject
[He hovers over Yoshi or Luigi. Dragons, even though he was a dinosaur...thing were a symbol of strength?
He feels the generation gap, or rather the generation chasm.]
no subject
I'm picking this one! Shishio-san, you better keep your promise!
[ Little does he know... ]
no subject
I'm choosing her.
[Now to wait for Ishikimaru's choice.]
no subject
Psst, choose the pink one! [He means Birdo, btw.] It's an old war goddess!
[No, that's bullshit?! Don't listen to him--]
See? The nose is shaped like a cannon!
no subject
There is a first time for everything, I suppose.
