☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something.

[After a momemt of blinking a wide smile appeared on Mikazuki's face and the hand that had been kissed reached up to cup his cheek.]

Such charming words from you, I would never doubt them. Knowing that you think so highly of me, I couldn't feel happier.

[ He brings his hand up to rest on the other's, finding comfort in the simple gesture and he matches Mikazuki's smile with one of his own. ]

You make all foxes very happy, especially this one.

I'm glad to hear that.

[He leans closer to give Kogitsune a quick peck on his other cheek in return for the ones he received.]

[ Oh... he could certainly go for a few more of those, though maybe later and before they nap. He blushes, just like Mikazuki.

He'll grab the bucket of water so he could pour more water out and start making another fox. ]

You can make them smile, too! Just be careful when you shape the muzzle, okay?

[ But probably not smile as big as Kogi. ]

[That they can, especially because it would make that nap even more pleasant.

Mikazuki laughs and starts helping him make more little foxes.]

I will try and I'll be careful!

[Yes, that smile is hard to top.]

[ After a few more foxes, Kogitsunemaru will stop and just watch Mikazuki make them. Then after that, he leans against him with his head resting on the other's shoulder. ]

You make wonderful foxes.

[Watch as he makes more little foxes, some with bows, some curled up, looking as if they are sleeping...

Yes, he's having lots of fun.]

[ With a thoughtful hum, he casually curls an arm around the other man's side, tugging him closer--- for comfort, for closeness. Drowsiness is setting upon him, and there's nothing better than a warm body and a shoulder! ]

You're too kind. [ And honest, too. This is why it feels much better to be doted on by Mikazuki, of all people. ]

They look very happy and mirror how I feel.

[The closeness is appreciated and it's as he always says, he doesn't mind being touched.]

I'm just being honest.

[Can he read his mind? No. Does he know the little fox well? Yes, very, very well.]

Then I'm happy that their feelings reached you.

[He would scratch his ears if his hands weren't tainted with sand.]

That honesty is what makes me quite fond of you. [ Kogitsunemaru will be truthful in kind, because it's just how he feels. There's not much time to be anything but that, so he is happy to speak his mind.

There's plenty of water left in the bucket, and he'll even look at it then back up at Mikazuki while giving him a squeeze. ]

Does it? I'm glad to hear that.

[Mikazuki follows his gaze and smiles up at him.]

Is there anything else you would like to make?

[ For a second he thoughtfully looks at Mikazuki's face, then down to his side. And his eyes perk up once he has an idea. ]

I think I do! Do you mind modelling for me?

[ His hands are already in the bucket, gathering some water to try his next and hopefully his best masterpiece, just for the other sword. ]

[mikazuki_munechika]

[The older sword blinks in surprise first but then nods.]

I don't! What pose do you want me to make?

[Should he stand? Sit? ... Pretend that he's sleeping?]

You're fine as you are. Just give me a moment and you'll see what I mean.

[ His eyes fixate on Mikazuki's hip, on his other self. The design is in his head, and he starts to replicate it in sand form, being very careful and meticulous to duplicate the patterns exactly as they are... ]

[mikazuki_munechika]

Alright, I shall be patient then.

[You can do it little fox! You were crafted by Sanjou and the deity Inari after all, modeling swords should be easy for you!]

[ It only takes a moment, but he's inspired by Mikazuki's willingness to sit for a brief time so he could capture his likeness. And so, with a little more time after that, he's finally finished. ]

[ In front of them, a sand replica of the 'jijii', carefully sculpted and intricately etched. ]

[Mikazuki looked at it carefully, tilting his head, checking every angle until he leaned his head against Kogitune's shoulder.]

I like it a lot... How about you sit still for a moment too and let me build some company for this old man?

[Is there still water in the bucket?]

[ There should be plenty of water for Mikazuki to do what he needs to do! It's a pretty spacious bucket. ]

Company, huh? I'm excited to meet whoever it is!

[ He'd give Mikazuki a little peck on the top of his head before letting him do his thing. ]

[Great, because Mikazuki will try to make a sand version of Kogitsune!]

I hope you will like him.

[Now let him start with making that company.]

[ It's Kogitsunemaru's turn to rest his head on Mikazuki's shoulder, watching him shape the familiar looking weapon with his capable hands. ]

... you're really good at this.

Not as good as you are.

[Soon enough sand Jiji will have a sand Kogi for company.]

He looks quite handsome, don't you think?

They both look very handsome together. In fact, I think they complement each other very well. [ He's thrilled that sand-him will have a sand-Jijii. No little fox should be without, right? ]

... think we could bring them home with us? Or maybe they should stay to defend the beach from the Revisionists?

... Like the real ones then.

[He looked up at Kogitsune and smiled widely. No little fox should be without a Jiji.]

Taking them home might be a bit difficult...

[ He's a little disheartened by the idea of leaving the two sand sculptures by themselves at the beach, where any number of things could cause them to break and disappear.

But then he smiles knowingly. ]

It's alright, I guess... sand Kogitsunemaru and Mikazuki can live in our memories. Or, perhaps when it snows, they can be reborn in cold.

[ Better than the fire, but here, they'd be turned into glass! That'd be cool, huh?... ]

[It's disheartening, yes, but their Saniwa might not be happy about them carrying sand sculptures all the way home.

They could even break on their way home.]

Yes. ... Do you think they could be reborn in ice as well?

[Although glass doesn't sound bad either!]
