Voicetesting Ookurikara
A: BROODING AFTER BEING CHANGED FROM TACHI TO UCHI
[It's a hot and humid summer night. Ookurikara decided to discreetly leave the common area to the courtyard, where's at least quiet, in this citadel full of noisy swords. He watched the fireflies flickering here and there while he thought about the day.
That damn saniwa had changed his status and his abilities. Now he could see better at night, but he was no more in the same category as the other Date clan swords. Hm. Maybe for the better, maybe they would leave him alone now. What he really didn't like about it was that saniwa thought they could just do whatever they wanted with him. No, he wouldn't admit it. He's the one who should decide his fate.
Whoever passed by would see him fiercely glaring at the empty gardens.]
B: FIELDWORK
[Ugh. Ookurikara hated doing this. What was saniwa thinking, telling the swords to do this kind of work? Do they not know what a sword is for? Damn it. Better finish off quickly so he could go to the battlefield sooner.
Have one Ookurikara angrily pulling at the weeds with more strength than needed.]
C: WILDCARD
[whatever you want to do!]

A LOL
She doesn't know the details about class changing. She doesn't even know it's possible! How does this? Even work?
It was only something she heard on the grapevine when she arrived to visit though, having been on a trade tour. Perhaps she did get the full story though, but class changing was just beyond her. In a way, she probably would get it if some said micronation vs nation.]
Ookurikara?
no subject
His glare switches to her.]
That's me. [His look has an implied "what do you want?" here.]
no subject
Are you tired after work? I could bring you some tea.
[If he wanted to talk about it, it's better he does because he wants to. He's that type of sword...guy.]
no subject
Do whatever you want.
no subject
She knows he's normally better to her than this.]
I'll be back soon then. Wait here.
[And off she goes. It really isn't long that she's back with a tray, a pot of tea on top of it with a cup, and a plate of rice crackers that she took from the kitchen. She places it down beside him and fills his cup.]
no subject
Dont let Uguisumaru see the tea.He just nods as she leaves, but when she comes back with only one cup for the tea, he can't help but ask, despite all his claims of not caring about anyone.]Won't you drink too?
no subject
STASH IT NOW.Ookurikara, you really always treat her well. She blinks before looking at the tea cup.She could have some, though the point of this was really to help cheer him up.]
I mean, I made it for you.
no subject
Hm. It's weird to drink alone. [Even if it's just tea, and not alcohol.]
no subject
I can go get a cup then?
no subject
[ccp's niceness must be rubbing off on him.
Or Vietnam's plan to make Ookurikara comfortable is working.Either way, he waits for her to get back with her cup to resume drinking his tea.]no subject
Good, just as planned. She gets up, and starts for the kitchen.]I will be back.
[And she's back quicker than before since all she needed to do was pick up a tea cup, settling down beside him again to fill her cup.]
no subject
Your tea is good. People here should learn how to make tea. [
Or she could visit more. And no, he isn't totally avoiding the discussion about class changing nope.no subject
I thought Uguisumaru was good at tea. [
She could totally just do that too.Look, it talks about tea will help him relax...] I could teach you. Or I could always make you tea.no subject
Teach me? I am a sword, I am made for battle. Besides, don't you have other stuff to do? [Not that it was so bad to know how to make a good tea. He could make it for himself when he wanted. But making tea for a mumeitou didn't exactly seem a fun thing to do.]
no subject
I am not someone who is meant to make tea either, but then here I am. [And then a few swords do the same. Looking at you, bunch of waifu swords.] But if you are not interested in learning, then I can do it whenever I am here. I might be doing work, but it does not mean I do not take breaks for tea. You can join me.
A
[ Enjoy the tempered and lyrical tones of a sword made for art, not for battle. He had heard from other swords what had happened, and it was startling and unique--- nothing like this had been done previously. For it to happen to Ookurikara as well as a few others, it was startling.
He hopes his joke isn't too pointed or harsh. He simply wants to sympathize. ]
no subject
Tch. If you want to be friendly, go find the others. They seemed excited at the TV room.
no subject
He purses his lips with a hand on his hip, shifting his weight just slightly off to that side. ]
... do you think our master would do this lightly? Or, if he was even the one that decided to do it?
no subject
Hmph. [Ookurikara doesn't really like to call saniwa his master. He wants to control his life himself and not follow orders from a random sage, and that's what makes him so unpleased by the current situation. Not because of the class or status, but because it was changed and he had no saying in it.]
Are you saying there's someone else who could have done that? [Is there another asshole he should be hating right now?]
no subject
I don't like to guess, but it's possible that it was the group that brought Saniwa here in the first place. Maybe something with their technology, with the traveling, with... something. [ He can only offer so many ideas as he hums thoughtfully, blinking a few times as his sight passed onto the floor. ]
Besides, nothing else changed, right? Certainly your skills haven't changed...? [ His attitude certainly hasn't. ]
no subject
My skills are still mostly the same. But that's not the issue.
no subject
Also, patience is the key in order to fully understand the quiet, sulky ones. ]
Then what is the issue, Ookurikara-san?
no subject
H A H.
Is Ookurikara really surprised when Tsurumaru jumps up from behind him, giving him playful shove forward in greeting. You know, most people just say "hi" when they want to make themselves known. )
Goodness, is this where you've decided to hide?
( There's no one else here and nothing to do. How boring. )
no subject
I wanted somewhere quiet. What do you want?
1 and late, of course
Is glaring at the grass a good pastime?
no problem! late tags are always good surprises! :D
It's quiet, at least.
no subject
And what do you mean by that eh?
no subject
They are too noisy. I prefer to be alone.
no subject
You're always alone though. Mixing in with everyone once in a while is fun, even if most of them are really loud.
[He chuckles.]
Would you like to have some tea with me?
no subject
[It's enough for Ookurikara to deal with them during the battles, really. But he nods at Mitsutada's offer. Even if it's just tea, he won't refuse the tachi's cooking.]
no subject
Please take a seat, it won't be long.
[He rolls up his sleeves, then getting to work as he sets the teapot, measures the leaves and sets them on the side, and looks for some biscuits he had put away earlier on the day. He sets a few on a small plate, putting the rest away again.
He walks over to the table, placing the cookies right in the middle, and sits down.]
What has been bothering you lately?
no subject
Mitsutada wants to know what has been bothering him?
Everything.] Nothing. [It's just his usual brooding okok. He isn't letting saniwa's doings affect him nope.]no subject
He takes a small sip from his tea, enjoying the warmth in his mouth, and sighs.]
You might think you're really good at hiding what you feel, but you're actually pretty easy to read, so let me ask again, what has been bothering you Ookurikara?
