A: BROODING AFTER BEING CHANGED FROM TACHI TO UCHI
[It's a hot and humid summer night. Ookurikara decided to discreetly leave the common area to the courtyard, where's at least quiet, in this citadel full of noisy swords. He watched the fireflies flickering here and there while he thought about the day.

That damn saniwa had changed his status and his abilities. Now he could see better at night, but he was no more in the same category as the other Date clan swords. Hm. Maybe for the better, maybe they would leave him alone now. What he really didn't like about it was that saniwa thought they could just do whatever they wanted with him. No, he wouldn't admit it. He's the one who should decide his fate.

Whoever passed by would see him fiercely glaring at the empty gardens.]



B: FIELDWORK
[Ugh. Ookurikara hated doing this. What was saniwa thinking, telling the swords to do this kind of work? Do they not know what a sword is for? Damn it. Better finish off quickly so he could go to the battlefield sooner.

Have one Ookurikara angrily pulling at the weeds with more strength than needed.]

[If he wanted to talk, he'd have to feel more comfortable to do so anyway. Looks like he's even less comfortable than usual, so it's not like she'd get anything out of him. Besides, why mess with something that she doesn't quite understand?

[And off she goes. It really isn't long that she's back with a tray, a pot of tea on top of it with a cup, and a plate of rice crackers that she took from the kitchen. She places it down beside him and fills his cup.]

[Dont let Uguisumaru see the tea. He just nods as she leaves, but when she comes back with only one cup for the tea, he can't help but ask, despite all his claims of not caring about anyone.]

Won't you drink too?

[hoasen]

[STASH IT NOW. Ookurikara, you really always treat her well. She blinks before looking at the tea cup.

She could have some, though the point of this was really to help cheer him up.]

I mean, I made it for you.

[sexysword]

[Maybe he does. He sips at his tea, not looking at her.

Hm. It's weird to drink alone. [Even if it's just tea, and not alcohol.]

[hoasen]

[Well, if he puts it that way, then if it will help!]

I can go get a cup then?

Yeah, I'd prefer that.

[ccp's niceness must be rubbing off on him. Or Vietnam's plan to make Ookurikara comfortable is working.Either way, he waits for her to get back with her cup to resume drinking his tea.]

[Good, just as planned. She gets up, and starts for the kitchen.]

I will be back.

[And she's back quicker than before since all she needed to do was pick up a tea cup, settling down beside him again to fill her cup.]

[Good. He feels less awkward now. Ookurikara sips at his tea in silence for some time more before talking again.]

Your tea is good. People here should learn how to make tea. [Or she could visit more. And no, he isn't totally avoiding the discussion about class changing nope.

[hoasen]

[Perfect, nailed it! But as he says that, she manages a small smile.]

I thought Uguisumaru was good at tea. [She could totally just do that too. Look, it talks about tea will help him relax...] I could teach you. Or I could always make you tea.

He might be. I've never had tea with him. [Because Ookurikara doesn't intend to be friendly with everyone. He's a bit surprised at her offer though.]

Teach me? I am a sword, I am made for battle. Besides, don't you have other stuff to do? [Not that it was so bad to know how to make a good tea. He could make it for himself when he wanted. But making tea for a mumeitou didn't exactly seem a fun thing to do.]

Oh? I see. [She's not surprised by that, seeing that Ookurikara keeps to himself.]

I am not someone who is meant to make tea either, but then here I am. [And then a few swords do the same. Looking at you, bunch of waifu swords.] But if you are not interested in learning, then I can do it whenever I am here. I might be doing work, but it does not mean I do not take breaks for tea.
