☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something.

[ It'll be great, what with the lazy clouds in the brilliant blue sky and the warmest of breezes? More than nice, Mikazuki.

And he'll laugh at the impression, the tiny fox probably would have tried to argue that it didn't sound like him at all but that'd only make them both laugh, right? ]

Good! Let's go, then. [ Kogitsunemaru will lead the way, sticking to Mikazuki's side until they reach where they were before, and he will sit down in the sand. ]

[Yes, yes that sounds like a wonderful future.

Good that he's laughing, he was wondering if what he said had been funny at all. Mikazuki chuckles and holds up the bucket.]

Off to make a another fox!

[Lead the way little fox, he will follow and sit down next to him once he put the bucket down.]

[ A very wonderful and idealistic future. Shame it's only one day...

As Mikazuki sits with the water, he'll cup his hands to pour some into the sand, making it suitable to form the haunches and body of the fox. ]

You do it like this, okay? It should be oval shaped. When you make it big enough, you can etch out its legs...

[ With very well practiced hands, Kogitsunemaru's actually pretty good at this. With some time, a great model, and the desire to show off... well, he's in his element, right? ]

[Truly a shame... but hopefully there are more peaceful days to come.

Mikazuki watches him carefully and nods.]

I see... alright, I will give it a try.

[Now watch and see how... he fails. he's not doing as well as Kogitsune. Okay, he has to practice.]

[ Oh, he knows why. Mikazuki needs a little more water. The sand just kind of falls and doesn't clump together like it should. The little fox will add some more, nodding. ]

This should do the trick. Why don't you try again? [ He's still proud of Mikazuki trying his hardest. With his help, maybe one day they can have a real army of little sand foxes, ready to fight off the Revisionists!

He could hope. ]

[Ah, so that's why it didn't work the way he wanted it to. Mikazuki nods in thanks and continues with his attempt to make a mini fox.]

I think I got the hang of it now.

[With the old man sword looks pleased his work... let say he needs to practice a lot more before they can make a sand fox army.]

[ And he's pleased, too! If only they could take all the foxes home with them, then he'd be even more happy. This is probably impossible, but they could try making some when they return to the citadel. ]

I'm sure it's very happy to have been made by you. [ He gives a cheeky grin, scooting closer to Mikazuki. ]

[They could always ask their saniwa for clay? it doesn't always have to be sand.]

"Ohhh Mikazuki-sama, it's a pleasure to meet you and my humble big brother!"

Is what it might want to say.

[He's feeling like acting a bit silly, did you notice?]

[ It's cute. Too cute. He chuckles because it's endearing and so unlike Mikazuki to be this silly, but he doesn't mind! Not to mention, Kogi knows foxes and that's exactly what one would say. ]

What else do you think a fox would say, hm? [ He's as close as he could get to the other sword, their arms almost touching. ]

[Maybe it's because he only got up recently. Or maybe because they actually had a peaceful day off for once in a long time.

The crescent-eyed sword chuckled.]

Let me see...

[He raised a hand and made the fox gesture Kogitsune uses to make so often.]

"Ohh, Kogitsunemaru-sama has such nice fur, I'm jealous!"

[ Well, one silly act can easily lead to another, right? With one hand, he gently grasps the hand-fox and moves in to give it a little kiss where the thumb, middle, and ring fingers met. ]

Well, friendly fox... don't worry. I will share it with you whenever you'd like! A privilege meant for very worthy ones, like yourself.

[ His eyes aren't on the hand as he speaks, instead looking up the arm at the owner of the fox. ]

[It can, and on days like these it should be okay, shouldn't it?

When the little fox kissed his fingers Mikazuki blushed slightly, but he didn't draw his hand away and kept his eyes on Kogitsune.]

"Thank you, I feel so honored! Sharing is caring after all! But... is Mikazuki-sama worthy too?"

[He then switched back to his normal voice then.]

... Am I?

[ If only for the briefest of moments, he looks surprised that the silly other not-fox and Mikazuki would ask that question. But he'll offer a sly smirk and another kiss, this time on the top of the hand. ]

I could spend centuries trying to make a list, and it'd be hard to find anyone who is more worthy than you... even this fox would be a very, very close second.

[ Sorry, but it's true. ]

[mikazuki_munechika]

[After a momemt of blinking a wide smile appeared on Mikazuki's face and the hand that had been kissed reached up to cup his cheek.]

Such charming words from you, I would never doubt them. Knowing that you think so highly of me, I couldn't feel happier.

[ He brings his hand up to rest on the other's, finding comfort in the simple gesture and he matches Mikazuki's smile with one of his own. ]

You make all foxes very happy, especially this one.

I'm glad to hear that.

[He leans closer to give Kogitsune a quick peck on his other cheek in return for the ones he received.]

Well then, shall we continue?

[ Oh... he could certainly go for a few more of those, though maybe later and before they nap. He blushes, just like Mikazuki.

He'll grab the bucket of water so he could pour more water out and start making another fox. ]

You can make them smile, too! Just be careful when you shape the muzzle, okay?

[ But probably not smile as big as Kogi. ]

[mikazuki_munechika]

[That they can, especially because it would make that nap even more pleasant.

Mikazuki laughs and starts helping him make more little foxes.]

I will try and I'll be careful!

[Yes, that smile is hard to top.]

[ After a few more foxes, Kogitsunemaru will stop and just watch Mikazuki make them. Then after that, he leans against him with his head resting on the other's shoulder. ]

You make wonderful foxes.

[Watch as he makes more little foxes, some with bows, some curled up, looking as if they are sleeping...

Yes, he's having lots of fun.]

Thank you, but they are not nearly as wonderful as you.

[ With a thoughtful hum, he casually curls an arm around the other man's side, tugging him closer--- for comfort, for closeness. Drowsiness is setting upon him, and there's nothing better than a warm body and a shoulder! ]

You're too kind. [ And honest, too. This is why it feels much better to be doted on by Mikazuki, of all people. ]

They look very happy and mirror how I feel.

[The closeness is appreciated and it's as he always says, he doesn't mind being touched.]

I'm just being honest.

[Can he read his mind? No. Does he know the little fox well? Yes, very, very well.]

Then I'm happy that their feelings reached you.

[He would scratch his ears if his hands weren't tainted with sand.]

That honesty is what makes me quite fond of you. [ Kogitsunemaru will be truthful in kind, because it's just how he feels. There's not much time to be anything but that, so he is happy to speak his mind.

There's plenty of water left in the bucket, and he'll even look at it then back up at Mikazuki while giving him a squeeze. ]

Does it? I'm glad to hear that.

[Mikazuki follows his gaze and smiles up at him.]

Is there anything else you would like to make?

[ For a second he thoughtfully looks at Mikazuki's face, then down to his side. And his eyes perk up once he has an idea. ]

I think I do! Do you mind modelling for me?

[ His hands are already in the bucket, gathering some water to try his next and hopefully his best masterpiece, just for the other sword. ]
