001. Newcomer. Smithed or obtained from battle, a new sword has arrived at the citadel. Are you getting the citadel ready for them? With enough swords in the citadel, it might be hard to figure out which room to fit their bed in. Or maybe you're the new arrival being greeted and touring your new home. Hey, what's your favorite food? The saniwa will want to prepare a special meal for you. 002. Returning. You've just returned from a mission. Ideally, you're raining cherry blossoms as soon as you set foot on the citadel's grounds but that isn't always the case. Some times swords come home tired to the bone. Some times, swords don't return at all... 003. Leaving. That sure is your name on the wall telling you to get ready for a mission. Pack up your things, say your good byes, and gather up your team mates. Hey, where are you going anyway? Is it somewhere familiar? Or somewhere you've never been to before? Regardless, this is an order so gather up your courage and steel yourself for the task at hand. 004. Guests. It doesn't happen often but sometimes guests from other citadels come. Some come from generous citadels-- allowed to reunite with old friends and family for a short time. Others are here purely for business which means it's time to brush up in the practice hall and show these punks who has the best citadel. 005. Chores. It isn't all fight fight fight at the citadel. While people are away at the front, the people back home have their roles to fill too. Feed the horses, tend the gardens, make sure everything is in one piece so the squads have a home to return too. ... Did you just break another screen door? 006. Dueling. To assess the saniwa, inter-citadel matches are held regularly. This is different from regular friendlies, though-- here, you're fighting to be the very best. Scores are awarded and... what are those grades even for? Well, it goes on the saniwa's record so it must be important... 007. Special exercise. No, no, no! Something isn't right but what is it? Are you absolutely useless on a team? Or maybe your performance has plateaued and regular training exercises aren't working? Well, it's time to pack up and go on a special training exercise. But what is it? Wrestling bears! Standing under waterfalls! Sitting in a room until you talk out whatever is wrong?! Or maybe we came into this with low expectations and the goal is to just not to die. 008. Attacked. This is a war, though, and it's foolish to expect the battles to be fought only on the frontlines. The enemy is becoming more bold and there are reports of citadels being attacked. Are you prepared for the attack because it's happening right now. Or is this one of the first citadels and you're completely caught off guard. 009. Fallen. What happens when a citadel falls? When a saniwa dies and the swords are left on their own until a new saniwa arrives? The citadel is abandoned, broken swords can be found in the garden. Will a new saniwa ever come home? 010. Wildcard. Choose your own adventure!

[ There's a slow little roll of his head as he rubs his eyes. Maybe he just woke up from a nap or maybe he's been staring out the window too much today. Either way. ]

It's too much trouble... All you have to do is slide it shut anyway.

[ It's a half yawn-half drawl in his speech. Clearly, like any napping cat, he's found the perfect spot on the tatami and is reluctant to move from it lest he lose it completely. ]

[Ah, that familiar laziness. Sometimes, it can be charming, really. His footsteps are soft and deliberate, until he stop next to Akashi and bends down to look at him.]

I could, but I could also choose not to listen to you.

[His feet are almost close enough to nudge the tachi. Almost.]

[ His head rolls up juuuuust slightly to get a better look, making and refusing to break eye contact with the other. ]

You could. But someone's going to have to clean out the leaves eventually.

[ Is this a test of willpower? ]

[He's now kneeling next to Akashi, maintaining the eye contact with him. He leans forward just a tad.]

Eventually. Either it's right now, or later on.

[Quite possibly. But who will break? He chuckles.]

I would imagine someone may come along and tell us to do it. [Mmm, orders. He kind of hope for the Saniwa to walk in on them.]

[ You know what, he's just going to roll onto his back and look up at the other now. Staying on his side is going to hurt in the morning if he keeps it up this long. ]

It can wait, mm? Maybe I should've said I was ordering ya to close the window.

[He's smiling at Akashi, raising a brow. Oho.]

So you want to order me around, Kuniyuki?

[Time for Playful (?) Banter. Or negotiation? ??]

[ Nope. Not gonna move. Instead, there's a slow roll of his head as he tilts it ever so slightly. ]

Close the window, could ya...

[ And emphasizing every syllable. ]

[ Apparently flirtatious negotiation. ]

[He tilts his head, curiously.]

[ Get with the harmless fun, man. It gets you attention.

There was a hum of thought though as he propped himself up with his elbow. ]

Plenty of room on this futon for two.

[He move his head a lil closer, smiling with some interest.]

Are you offering to sleep with me?

[... Nap times, or...]

[ Oh look, he's actually moving... like leaning in close a breath away moving. ]

Ya look like ya need the company.

[He's moving. And now their eyes are... more or less locked. Should he yield, or continue this?]

I wouldn't mind some company, Kuniyuki.

[Yes, he always wants company. Life is hard with his historical ties and how other swords vie for their master's love.]

[ One hand moved up, fingertips tracing the uchigatana's jawline before moving up to lightly adjust his glasses and brush against his hairline. His hand then falls back as he remains just under the other, head tilted as he murmurs against the other's lips. ]

We got all afternoon. Saniwa already picked the formation and sent out the expedition guys.

[He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling Kuniyuki's fingers on his face, his glasses, near his hair... There's a smile on his face, before he opens his eyes again to gaze back at the other. So close, a little more and they might kiss.]

That's nice.

[To keep on following orders, or risk punishment when others find out? He leans forward to whisper into Kuniyuki's ear.]
