☼ BEACH VACATION MEME ☼ Summer begins, and the saniwa's army earns a well deserved vacation. All expenses paid for by their organization, from travel to lodging to food, and yes, even the swim wear and toys. The water is blue, the skies are (mostly) clear, and it's time to have some fun at the beach! Watch out for the jellyfish and KBseagulls. ***Feel free to include some prompts in your top level. If you can't think of any, pick from below for some ideas!** 001.IN THE WATER This is why you're here, right? Take to the water and splash around. Now might be a good time to learn to swim if you don't already. But watch out! Here comes a large wave--! 002.SANDCASTLES This is it... the enemy's stronghold... not! It's a race against the clock to build a castle before the tide comes in. Collect those seashells, fortify your fortress, and don't be a jerk and ruin some else's castle. 003.SUNBATHING or maybe you've opted to sit under the shade of a large umbrella instead. Some times it's good to just sit back, relax, and watch to make sure no one needs to be rescued later. Keep an eye on the tide or you might find yourself getting wet anyway. 004. BEACH ANIMALS There are tiny fish in the tide pools, crabs crawling around, and uwah are those sea turtles?! Tsurumaru, put that octopus down right now. Ouch, did that jellyfish get you? And look, over there! That's a dolphin! You know, dolphins are intelligent creatures and have been known to help people-- WAIT NO ITS A SHARK ITS A SHARK NOT A FRIENDLY FISH IT LOOKS LIKE A DOLPHIN BUT ITS A SHARK. 005.MELON SLICING The organization has been kind enough to provide food and drink as well. They must have felt very clever sending all of those watermelons, though. Really, who needs that many watermelons? It's a competition to see which sword is the True Melonslasher. 006.STORM Those clouds came in so quickly, you barely had a chance to notice. The sky is dark, the rain is pouring down, and the wind is blowing cold. It's time to quickly collect your things and try to find some place dry. 007.KBCGULLS. Oh no, who fed the seagulls? They're circling around like vultures and making swoops at you, trying to steal your food. Hey, wait, that's not even edible! Was it just you or was there an evil glint in that bird's eye just now...? 008.BEACH PARTY. All of those watermelons you sliced earlier are being put to use. The sun is setting, the food is out, and a bonfire is going on the beach. Eat your heart out and dance around the fire. Watch the sunset, look at the stars, this sure is nice, isn't it? 009.WILDCARD. Mix and match. Create your own prompt. Find the dragon king's palace or something.

[You're aware that it would have been more of nose boop, just with two fingers. If you actually happen to make him geniunely mad at you though... well, it's a good thing that it would take a lot to anger him and that'he's a calm old man.]

[ A nose boop? Oh. Well, in that case, he'll have to take advantage of that situation as soon as he could. And he wouldn't want to upset Mikazuki, not even by accident. ]

Shall we? [ He'll chuckle at the sea fox comment as he and the 'old man' walk together toward the shoreline. ]

[Did you actually think he'd harm you or anyone else who's not the enemy? And he doesn't want to upset him either.]

[Sand fox wouldn't have fit.]

[ Then he will start walking and allow Mikazuki to follow alongside him at just the right pace to talk a little on the way. ]

How are you enjoying the beach? And how was your nap? [ He would've woken him up, but he looked so cute sleeping, not to mention Kogitsunemaru may have gotten a little distracted with the idea of making a ton of foxes to greet Mikazuki.

It just turned into a lot of other things in the process. ]

[And he will follow Kogitsune and be happy to have a little talk with him.]

I like it so far. And my nap had been good, although the greeting when waking up was a surprise.

[So many little foxes... and other things. He is sure that he has recognized some familiar faces among the sand foxes.]

[ He tried to make a few swords, mostly the tantou because they were just easier to make compared to one of the oodachi. Kogitsunemaru is sure that Ishikirimaru wouldn't have minded an attempt of his likeness, right? ]

Next time, I'll make sure to surprise you in a different way. [ He keeps his eyes forward, but he's definitely grinning. They're almost at the waterline, the sand clear of shells and a gentle warm breeze coming off of the water. Mikazuki is free to gather a full bucket for their small trip back, though it's nice to stand in the water for a moment. ]

[So he did actually see them right! And Ishikiri probably wouldn't mind, he's sure of that. He's curious how his oodachi would look like. But if it turns out difficult then he should practice making tachi first.]

You will? Then I can't wait to see it.

[Though now Mikazuki is wondering what that next surprise will be... he is lost in thought as he stands in the water, the bucket in his hands still.]

[ Tachi would definitely be next. Or maybe a few wakazashi... as long as Horikawa wouldn't mind, maybe he'd use him as a future model. Kashuu could be good, if he wanted to try a uchigatana, but he spends a lot of time on his nails and makeup. ]

But for now, Kogitsunemaru will sneak behind the deep-in-thought tachi and take advantage of the situation wrapping his arms around Mikazuki's waist and giving him a tight hug. ]

[So many options... Shishiou might be fun to make as well, with his nue. Or maybe he should try a mini version of Iwatooshi or Tonbokiri and Otegine!]

Ah-!

[Mikazuki looks a bit taken aback at the sudden hug and turns his head to look up at the little fox.]

Kogitsune...?

[ Eep. ]

Sorry. You looked like you were about to fall asleep again, so I thought I'd help keep you standing. [ He laughs, keeping his head over Mikazuki's shoulder still. ]

But you should get the water. I think I'll try making Nakigitsune next. It makes sense, given how much practice I've had with foxes, right?

[ Kogitsunemaru will slowly let go. ]

Oh... No, I wasn't. I just got lost in thought. But thank you.

[Have one of the widest smiles, Kogitsune.]

Hmm, I suppose making Nakigitsune next would make sense.

[You know he doesn't mind being touched. But since you're letting go he will fill the bucket with water.]

[ He'll find more time to touch Mikazuki later. Maybe if there's another nap in the grandpa's future, Kogi will join him again... except without going on an adventure in building sand critters and swords. ]

I bet he'd love it... maybe smallest fox will get fooled. [ He snickers, but he knows the tiniest fox would never get tricked by a sand Naki. ]

Now that you have water, will you help me build a fox?

[Nap time is going to be nice in the future, isn't it?]

I can already hear his little friend say "Ohhh, look it's another Nakigitsune! And he looks just like you!".

[Mikazuki tried to imitate the voice of the tiny fox but he ends of laughing at his failed attempt.]

[ It'll be great, what with the lazy clouds in the brilliant blue sky and the warmest of breezes? More than nice, Mikazuki.

And he'll laugh at the impression, the tiny fox probably would have tried to argue that it didn't sound like him at all but that'd only make them both laugh, right? ]

Good! Let's go, then. [ Kogitsunemaru will lead the way, sticking to Mikazuki's side until they reach where they were before, and he will sit down in the sand. ]

[Yes, yes that sounds like a wonderful future.

Good that he's laughing, he was wondering if what he said had been funny at all. Mikazuki chuckles and holds up the bucket.]

Off to make a another fox!

[Lead the way little fox, he will follow and sit down next to him once he put the bucket down.]

As Mikazuki sits with the water, he'll cup his hands to pour some into the sand, making it suitable to form the haunches and body of the fox. ]

You do it like this, okay? It should be oval shaped. When you make it big enough, you can etch out its legs...

[ With very well practiced hands, Kogitsunemaru's actually pretty good at this. With some time, a great model, and the desire to show off... well, he's in his element, right? ]

[Truly a shame... but hopefully there are more peaceful days to come.

Mikazuki watches him carefully and nods.]

I see... alright, I will give it a try.

[Now watch and see how... he fails. he's not doing as well as Kogitsune. Okay, he has to practice.]

[ Oh, he knows why. Mikazuki needs a little more water. The sand just kind of falls and doesn't clump together like it should. The little fox will add some more, nodding. ]

This should do the trick. Why don't you try again? [ He's still proud of Mikazuki trying his hardest. With his help, maybe one day they can have a real army of little sand foxes, ready to fight off the Revisionists!

[Ah, so that's why it didn't work the way he wanted it to. Mikazuki nods in thanks and continues with his attempt to make a mini fox.]

I think I got the hang of it now.

[With the old man sword looks pleased his work... let say he needs to practice a lot more before they can make a sand fox army.]

[ And he's pleased, too! If only they could take all the foxes home with them, then he'd be even more happy. This is probably impossible, but they could try making some when they return to the citadel. ]

I'm sure it's very happy to have been made by you. [ He gives a cheeky grin, scooting closer to Mikazuki. ]

[They could always ask their saniwa for clay? it doesn't always have to be sand.]

"Ohhh Mikazuki-sama, it's a pleasure to meet you and my humble big brother!"

[He's feeling like acting a bit silly, did you notice?]

[ It's cute. Too cute. He chuckles because it's endearing and so unlike Mikazuki to be this silly, but he doesn't mind! Not to mention, Kogi knows foxes and that's exactly what one would say. ]

What else do you think a fox would say, hm? [ He's as close as he could get to the other sword, their arms almost touching. ]

[Maybe it's because he only got up recently. Or maybe because they actually had a peaceful day off for once in a long time.

The crescent-eyed sword chuckled.]

[He raised a hand and made the fox gesture Kogitsune uses to make so often.]

"Ohh, Kogitsunemaru-sama has such nice fur, I'm jealous!"

[ Well, one silly act can easily lead to another, right? With one hand, he gently grasps the hand-fox and moves in to give it a little kiss where the thumb, middle, and ring fingers met. ]

Well, friendly fox... don't worry. I will share it with you whenever you'd like! A privilege meant for very worthy ones, like yourself.

[ His eyes aren't on the hand as he speaks, instead looking up the arm at the owner of the fox. ]

[It can, and on days like these it should be okay, shouldn't it?

When the little fox kissed his fingers Mikazuki blushed slightly, but he didn't draw his hand away and kept his eyes on Kogitsune.]

"Thank you, I feel so honored! Sharing is caring after all! But... is Mikazuki-sama worthy too?"

[He then switched back to his normal voice then.]
